Dorothy’s July Recommendation

A Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling

the casual vacancy“I believed Rowling couldn’t possibly write for adults as well as she does for youngsters.  But I read the Harry Potter series as a 40-something and never failed to recommend it to my peers.  I should have trusted the author.  This book was great!  Definitely not for kids.  Complex, nuanced, humorous, dark, clever, thought-provoking.  She can write for adults.  And I hope she does again, soon.” – Dorothy
