Sue Q’s March Recommendation

Lit: a memoir by Mary Karr

“As in her previous memoirs (Liars Club, Cherry) Mary Karr certainly doesn’t hold back much. She is shockingly honest about her self destructive slide into alcoholism and the insecurities, hidden demons and family tendencies that began in her rough East Texas childhood and unfortunately surfaced as she became a mother and a published writer.  Howerver, this is a survivor story; and the way Karr writes about her surprising path to redemption is beautifully compelling.
